Within the covers of this book is a collection of the stories, the histories of two lost communities--Sangerville and Stokesville in Augusta County (Virginia) complete with pictures from the early 1900s and present day.  Even if one is not familiar with these areas, one can appreciate the history and the memories shared inside.  From inception in the 1700s to present day, the author shares research about the settlers who founded these two communities, pioneer life, the effects of wars on the area, and business that boomed and then disappeared.  If history is not shared, it will be lost forever.
