Johann Adam Weiss was born near Basel, Switzerland in 1724. He married Catherine Haigler, daughter of George Haigler, in 1745. They immigrated to America in 1748. He died in about 1785 in Virginia. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Switzerland and Virginia.
