Confederate partisan rangers commanded by John Singleton Mosby during the American Civil War. They were known for their daring raids on Union supply lines and communication networks in Northern Virginia, earning them the nickname "Mosby's Confederacy". The unit, officially the 43rd Battalion Virginia Cavalry, was active from 1863 until April 21, 1865, when Mosby disbanded it.
